Help Development Studio - Plug-ins

Here you can learn about the available Help Development Studio plug-ins and download them.

Plug-ins SDK 1.0
Plug-ins SDK contains a full description of how to develop additional plug-ins for Help Development Studio. You will find a description of the plug-in structure, the plug-in types, and a list of all the necessary constants and commands, which are passed using standard Windows messages. The package includes examples of plug-in creation and the units necessary for developing them. All of the program code is provided for Delphi but, due to its simplicity, it can easily be translated into any other programming language.

On-line Manual 1.32
With the On-line Manual plug-in, you can create a web version of your application Help from your Help Development Studio projects. All you need to do is to simply choose a new Project menu command (added with the plug-in) and your help system will be automatically converted to a format which can be published on your Web site!
Moreover, the plug-in allows customization of the on-line manual's style and the editing of some other settings, which are saved directly to your project file. This lets you set different parameters for your various help projects, without losing the values set for your previous project. For example, you can easily create different on-line manual styles for different help projects. In addition, the plug-in adds the ability to save the topic text in HTML, which is very useful for updating the separate help topics.

Help Topics 1.0
This plug-in allows you to import help topics from other Help Development Studio projects, which can then be used for different purposes. For example, you can create a project, which plays the role of a topics library, and then use it to import required topics into your current help project. Also, you can use it to just load the text for the current topic from another help project. Another way to use the Help Topics plug-in is to merge two different help projects into one. For all these operations, you should select a new file filter from those available when you choose the Open Text command from the File menu.
